Usage tips: Whenever you pick a new photo to adorn, PicTricks will need a few seconds to find the faces in the photo. Once face detection is complete, mixing and matching accessories is extremely snappy.
Magic Resize
Narrows images with minimal distortion and no cropping. Finds unimportant parts of the photo to eliminate - so you keep the faces, buildings or other important elements in the photo. You can even fingerpaint-out the things (or people!) you want PicTricks to shrink out first. Try Magic Resize on photos of landscapes or groups of people (and paint someone out!).
Usage tips: It takes up to around forty seconds to analyze the image the first time you try to shrink it. Thereafter you can resize the image interactively with no wait. The next time you change the photo or the parts of the photo you want to selectively remove, PicTricks will need to redo the analysis.
Chroma-key
Hollywood's classic effect on your iPhone. Take a photo of anyone in front of a green or blue background (a clear blue sky works perfectly) and superimpose them on any other photo. Found a great Eiffel Tower picture? Be there - and send it to your friends!
Usage tips: The bluer or greener the background, the more convincing the effect. The subject in foreground should not be wearing anything that has a similar color to the background. Also, purple in front of a blue screen will not work. PicTricks tries to guess the background color automatically, but you can sometimes get a better result by picking the background color yourself. Generally the effect works pretty well even with translucent surfaces and fuzzy objects (e.g. hair).
